The 3rd African Job Creation Forum concluded on July 9, 2025, in Addis Ababa, marking a truly historic moment for the continent.
The forum was brought to a close by the insightful remarks H.E. Adem Farah,Vice President of Prosperity Party (PP) and Head of the Democratic System Building Center with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister. This pivotal event is now set to ascend to summit status from next year, as formally declared by the Adwa Declaration Communique!Ethiopia's remarkable role as host has been instrumental in propelling Africa's job agenda forward.
The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) expresses immense pride in its supportive contribution, working collaboratively with the Ministry of Labor and Skills to ensure the forum's resounding success.
Aligned with the 5th Africa Integration Day, this year's forum highlighted the critical theme: "Advancing Job Creation & Economic Resilience through Regional Integration, Digital & Financial Inclusion along Agricultural Value Chains."
Discussions were focused on leveraging digital tools, inclusive finance, regional trade integration, and agro-innovation to transform agriculture into a powerful engine for job creation across the continent.
The event also celebrated excellence, with awards presented to outstanding job centers, innovative startups, effective labor force registration initiatives, impactful TVETs, and supportive microfinance institutions.
