Ethiopia to Launch Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 on November 17 as Minister Reaffirms National Commitment.
Ethiopia announced today that Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2025 will officially kick off on November 17, following a press conference led by H.E. Muferihat Kamil, Minister of Labor and Skills, who reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to advancing entrepreneurship and innovation.
During the briefing, the Minister emphasized that “entrepreneurship is the true engine of transformation,” calling on stakeholders to collaborate in strengthening the nation’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Ethiopia, as of today, is ranked second in the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) for the number of events, having hosted more than 2,400 activities.
EDI CEO Hassen Hussien, PhD, echoed this call for partnership, encouraging stakeholders to support efforts to unlock Ethiopia’s entrepreneurship and innovation potential.
GEW Ethiopia 2025, held under the theme “Together We Build,” will feature nationwide events aimed at inspiring, connecting, mentoring, and engaging participants across the country.
More details will be shared as Ethiopia prepares to host one of the world’s largest celebrations of entrepreneurship.
