EDI & Partners Spotlight Agri-Business Advisory Services as Key Catalyst for Growth

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), in partnership with key ecosystem players, successfully convened a session on "Agri-Business Advisory Services: Catalyzing Growth and Value Creation" at Getfam Hotel in Addis Ababa on November 21, 2025, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025.

The session brought together agriculture experts, policymakers, and business development service providers to explore innovative approaches to strengthening Ethiopia's agricultural value chains. Discussions focused on how targeted advisory services can drive sustainable growth, enhance value creation, and improve market linkages for smallholder farmers and agri-entrepreneurs.

Participants emphasized the critical role of specialized business development services in transforming subsistence agriculture into commercially viable enterprises. The dialogue highlighted successful models and best practices in providing technical assistance, market access support, and financial linkage services to agri-businesses across different value chains.

This gathering reinforced partners' commitment to collaborative efforts in scaling agricultural advisory services, recognizing agriculture as a fundamental pillar for Ethiopia's economic transformation and food security.
