EDI & Partners Explore Global BDS Lessons for Ethiopia

EDI in collaboration with EBASPA, SNV, AMEA, and Mercy Corps, successfully hosted a critical session on "BDS Standardization: Towards the standardization of business development service in Ethiopia."

Held at Getfam Hotel on November 20, 2025, as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 (GEW 2025), the event convened key ecosystem actors to discuss international best practices in Business Development Service (BDS) standardization. Partners highlighted the current challenges, including the lack of a unified standard in Ethiopia, insufficient collaboration among actors, and concerns over low service quality. The session concluded with a firm call for all concerned bodies to work diligently to standardize the BDS sector nationwide.
