Innovation is the Mechanism, EDI Hosts MoH State Minister Meeting

The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) was honoured to host H.E. Seharela Abdulahi, Ministry of Health (MoH) State Minister, and her delegation on September 25, 2025, at its headquarters in Addis Ababa.

The aim of the visit was to gain best practices and forge collaboration. During the visit, the State Minister said entrepreneurship and innovation are vital forces propelling the health system toward better quality and greater accessibility.

The State Minister also highlighted that entrepreneurship and innovation serve as the mechanism for identifying gaps and creating viable solutions to enhance quality. During their visit, the MoH delegation received a comprehensive briefing from EDI leadership on the institute's work.

Following the briefing, the delegation toured the Ministry of Labor and Skills' Public Sector Innovation (PSI) Lab.

The visit culminated in a strong commitment to collaboration, with the Ministry of Health and EDI agreeing to work together. This partnership will infuse entrepreneurial thinking across the national health system a crucial step toward innovative, sustainable, and inclusive healthcare solutions in Ethiopia.
